The Kansas City Chapter of the Mizzou Alumni Association was formed in June of 1882 by Mr. E. G. Taylor, Law 1879. The Chapter represents all MU alumni members in the five county Kansas City metropolitan area (Clay, Jackson, and Platte in Missouri; Johnson and Wyandotte in Kansas). The Chapter supports Mizzou through academic scholarships and alumni events, including the Annual Tailgate in the Fall and the Black & Gold Tiger Ball in the Spring. Today, there are more than 4,100 members, which is approximately 20 percent of the alumni in the KC area. The Mizzou Alumni Association (MAA) has more than 40,000 members worldwide. It proudly supports the best interests and traditions of Missouri’s flagship university by providing members the opportunity to develop a lifelong relationship with Mizzou.
The Kansas City Chapter provides a variety of ways for Mizzou alumni to get involved through ongoing committees and special events. Contact any of our board or committee members to learn more.
